"PyCon 2008 was the best ever!"

George F. Rice (Mar 17, 2008)

"Most of our members don't use the Meetup site. We keep paying to keep meetup here because it attracts new members, but most of our members participate via the mailing list and wiki (http://dfwpython.or g/)."

Brad Allen (Oct 11, 2007)

"Kind, generous, respectful and most of all intelligent!"

Catherine Casterline (Sep 22, 2007)

"I am enjoying it a lot, so far"

Luiz Carlos Rios Abreu (Apr 13, 2007)

"A nice group of people."

Chris Austin (Apr 12, 2007)

"This is an incredible group. The members that are seasoned in programming are very helpful in sharing their vast knowledge with those of us who are not quite as skilled at the Python programming language. "

Edgar (Nov 17, 2006)

"I was pleasantly surprised to know a little more than some others and that I have a lot to learn even with the basics. I'd love to have a "real-world" session or segment on dictionaries. I understand their purpose, but have trouble using them. I look forward to being able to take part and hope that I'll have the time to do so. Thanks for your work."

Peter Schott (May 28, 2005)

About this Meetup

The Vision

* To meet interesting people, to learn new things, to teach others
* To run some classes, on tools, frameworks, and the language itself
* To support both face-to-face meetups, and online projects and classes
* To collaborate on fun projects, to run local coding "sprints"
* To help with the Texas regional Python conferences
* To help each other find work, if so desired, using Python.

We operate our own website at http://www.dfwpython.... along with a discussion mailing list and a software version control repository for our projects. Independent and group projects are welcome.
