This month we have a special guest, Andy McKay, the author of THE DEFINITIVE GUIDE TO PLONE. He's looking forward to meeting the local Python scene, discussing Plone, perhaps a brief talk, and hopefully answering a few questions for all of us!

Come on out and chat about Python, what people are doing with the language, technology in general and in Houston, exciting new developments, web gadgetry such as Zope and Plone, etc!

Please tell your friends about the Python Meetup. Especially if they're interested in Plone, this is the month to attend!

I've made arrangements for us to have some tables set up for us at Mango's Cantina, a Mexican restaurant located at Westheimer & Taft. Map and directions: http://shorl.com/bide...

My apologies for the short notice in rescheduling this month's Meetup, however I thought the chance to meet up with Andy was worth it!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!

Thanks,

Karl

    •  Great attendance! Nice mix of Python vs. Plone/Zope devotees (about 50-50), and a good spectrum from very-experienced to very-new people. Our best Houston meetup to-date!
    •  I was worried it would Plone/Zope-centric but it really turned out great. Had a chance to swap ideas with folks.

The accoustics was less than optimal and it was difficult for me to understand the conversations Andy was having with other members.
